About Trebinje

Trebinje area is located in the southernmost part of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the hinterland of south Adriatic coast (Herceg Novi and Dubrovnik coastline). Trebinje has an area of 904 mand it is classified as average size municipality in Republic of Srpska.

From the time it was called Travunia, until today when it is called Trebinje, it can be said that the city has kept the spirit of the past. Two great empires, Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian, left eternal reminders of the periods when the city, despite turbulent historical trends and events, resisted the influence of time and transience.

Some of the most known medieval monasteries are located in Trebinje and its surroundings. Special attention of numerous tourists, besides the City’s centre built in the Mediterranean building style, is drawn to a specific botanical and catering complex, formed out of 1600 years old plane trees. How to reach Trebinje?

Trebinje has good road connections with Banja Luka (357 km), Sarajevo (214 km), Podgorica (120 km) and Dubrovnik (28 km).

Trebinje is 45 km from the nearest Dubrovnik Airport in Croatia, and 70 km from Tivat Airport in Montenegro.

Submission of papers is done electronically by uploading the text of the paper on the Symposium website. The paper should include: title, authors' names, their affiliations, e-mail of the contact author, abstract, keywords and text of the paper written according to the IMRAD approach (introduction, material and method, research results and discussion), conclusion, literature review and alternatively attachments.
